Lucy (In The Sky WIth Diamonds)

An exploration in form and process, this piece begins with a hollow-cast signet ring and molten silver. While the silver remained in its liquid state, the ring was carefully immersed, allowing the metal to naturally shape and solidify around it as it cooled.

Once set, the edges were finely soldered to ensure strength and durability, preserving the organic character of the form. A layer of 18ct gold solder was then delicately applied across the surface, creating a rich contrast in tone. The piece is finished with the addition of hand-set diamonds, bringing a subtle brilliance to its raw, sculptural texture.
